Help when you need it most.
More Than Just Food
To best serve the diverse needs of our community, the Sparwood Food Bank operates two vital sub-programs that you can learn about below. Donations for each program are always welcome.

The Sparwood Food Bank
The Sparwood Food Bank is the cornerstone of our service, this program provides a reliable supply of non-perishable staples and household essentials to those in immediate need. Each hamper is designed to provide several days of balanced meals for individuals or families.
Goal: To provide a critical safety net for residents facing temporary financial crisis or long-term food insecurity.
Impact: Reduces the stress of hunger, allowing neighbors to focus on health, work, and family stability.
Visit us at 114 Centennial St (Back Entrance) Tuesdays & Thursdays between 11:00am-12:00pm for applications, pick up, or physical donations.

The Sparwood Food Share
The Sparwood Food Share program focuses on reducing food waste and increasing access to fresh, healthy produce. We work with local retailers and partners to rescue perishable food items—like fruits, vegetables, dairy, and baked goods—that would otherwise be thrown away.
Goal: To provide balanced nutrition, supplement regular hampers, and promote sustainable practices.
Impact: Ensures that families have access to the fresh ingredients needed to prepare healthy, home-cooked meals.
Accepted applicants of the Food Bank will be given a pick up schedule.
Public Food Share Openings will be posted on our Facebook Page.

Toys For Tots
While food remains our primary focus, we recognize that hardship affects the entire family. The Sparwood Food Bank proudly coordinates the Toys for Tots program, offers a summer food program, and provides treats and gifts for the children of our clients during the holiday season.
Goal: To ensure children in families accessing the Sparwood Food Bank experience joy and inclusion through the distribution of toys, gifts, and seasonal items during the holidays and at key times throughout the year.
Impact: By providing toys and gifts, the program supports children’s emotional well-being, encourages imaginative play, and creates positive memories, while easing the financial burden on families facing hardship.
Visit us at 114 Centennial St (Back Entrance) Tuesdays & Thursdays between 11:00am-12:00pm for applications, pick up, or physical donations.
